Partial bathroom renovation
Olympic park, Hackney
This job embodies perfectly what a partial renovation encapsulates. The directive was to remove existing tiles and re tile. However in order to do so, all sanitary items, shower valve and shower screen had to be removed. The bath and bath taps remained, thus allowing access to a cleaning facility, with the toilet pan being slid back into postition at the end of each working day so that the flat was livable - although this is not something we recommend. Sometimes the best way is to factor in the loss of these essentials for a few days, and enjoy a holiday while your project steers toward completion, without any of the faff.
The walls on this project remained intact from the tile removal and no plumbing items required any attention, nor any plastering works. Our electrician, came in for a minor first fix to enable heated mirrors and new lighting to the wall hung cabinet. A smoothly executed job that by and large went as planned.
